Konstantin Ionatamishvili: GEORGIA AND THE THREE SEAS INITIATIVE: PERSPECTIVES OF COOPERATION

The European choice is repeatedly affirmed by the Georgian people: various sociological polls have shown the high approval rate of 70-80% for EU and NATO membership. It is also declared in the Constitution of Georgia. Eventual European Union (EU)membership must be attained, no matter how difficult or long the process may be. Any other hypothetical way for Georgia means minimum standards of democracy, security, and well-being, which is likely to push a large part of the population, especially the youth, to leave the country to seek a better life. The alternative is to live in a country with a small and vague perspective of humandevelopment and of sustainable economic development.
