Baltic Sea Region Young Leaders Academy has Started!

March 27th marked the opening of the Baltic Sea Region Young Leaders Academy organised by the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation in a close cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Baltic States. Young leaders were greeted by Prof Žaneta Ozoliņa, Chairwoman of the Board of the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation, and Mrs Elisabeth Bauer. Participants had the opportunity to listen to a presentation “Nationalistic Approaches and the Question of Solidarity in a Changing Framework” by Dr Florian Hartleb, a political scientist and Managing Director at Hans Advice in Tallinn. Later on young leaders engaged in discussions lead by Dr Florian Hartleb and Mrs Elisabeth Bauer about solidarity in the framework of current challenges.

 

The Baltic Sea Region Young Leaders Academy is a program for young aspiring leaders who are interested in politics and social processes. It aims to have a closer look to such important topics as democratic values, EU, NATO, foreign and security cooperation in Baltic Sea region. The Academy is organised by Latvian Transatlantic Organisation in close cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Baltic States.
