Roundtable Discussion on Youth Resilience in the Baltic States
On 9 December 2025, LATO organised a roundtable discussion in Riga, bringing together policymakers and experts in the fields of societal resilience, security, strategic foresight, and youth development. The discussion centred on the presentation of the study “GLUED: Linking Resilience and Youth Futures in the Baltics”.
The discussion explored young people’s perceptions of the future, key resilience factors, and challenges to social cohesion. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of critical thinking, adaptability, and mental resilience, as well as youth attitudes towards personal responsibility and trust in political leadership.
Participants examined the study’s findings and policy recommendations, identifying practical solutions for the Latvian context. Similar discussions were held in Tallinn and Vilnius, contributing to a regional dialogue on youth resilience in the Baltics.
The initiative was supported by the German Embassy in Estonia.
