Discussion: “For a Democratic Future of Georgia”
On 3 March 2025, LATO, in cooperation with the Baltic Centre for Media Excellence, organised the discussion “For a Democratic Future of Georgia” at the European Union House in Riga.
The event brought together representatives from five Georgian opposition parties to discuss the prospects of democratic development, addressing internal political challenges and the role of international support. The discussion focused on the resilience of democratic institutions, conditions for political competition, and possible future development scenarios.
The event served as a platform for exchange between Georgian, Latvian, and international experts, enhancing understanding of the state of democracy in Georgia and its implications for regional security. It aimed to strengthen international dialogue on supporting democratic processes in Eastern Partnership countries.
