Project “From Latvia to Kyrgyzstan: Education for All”
“From Latvia to Kyrgyzstan: Education for All” is a project implemented by LATO youth organisation YATA Latvia within the framework of the “LAPAS Connects” initiative by the Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation (LAPAS). The project aims to raise awareness about how regional and gender inequality can limit access to quality education, and why equal opportunities in education matter for young people’s future choices and development.
As part of the project, YATA Latvia will conduct school visits across Latvia, where young people will be invited to take part in interactive discussions and practical tasks that encourage critical thinking and reflection on inequality. The project also includes a study visit to Kyrgyzstan, allowing the team to gain real-life insights and gather examples from local communities and organisations working on education and gender equality issues.
The knowledge and experiences collected during the project will be shared through a public communication campaign and a final event in Riga, where participants and experts will come together to discuss lessons learned and highlight why education should be accessible and fair for everyone.
This activity is co-funded by the European Union. The youth organisation “YATA Latvia” is responsible for the content of this activity, and it does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
